Description:

We have never heard anyone complaining that the original iPad Air was too thick or heavy, but Apple thought it was necessary to introduce a more air-like successor anyway. At 444 grams and 6.1 milimeters, the iPad Air 2 is 30 grams lighter than its predecessor and 0.8mm thinner than the iPhone 6. However, while it now includes the once iPhone-exclusive Touch ID, the Air 2 is mostly just, well, thinner. For one, it still lacks multi-user support and split-screen capability to take advantage of its sizable display, its slightly improved processor (A8X 1.5GHz, tri-core), and its doubled (2GB) RAM. In short, despite the few improvements, the iPad Air 2 does not seem to bring much new stuff, in terms of functionality, that would fundamentally change what a regular iPad user can do with an iPad.

Also known as iPad Air II.
