Description:
The Cuisinart CBT-1000 is a 1.3-HP blender that has pre-set functions (smoothies, ice crush, and a special program that mixes pulses and pauses). It is equipped with Power6 Turbo-Edge blades that Cuisinart claims can crush ice in 22 seconds. It has a thermal fuse (re-settable) that shuts down the unit when it detects an overload. It also has a back-lit count-up timer that beeps (although the manual says it chimes) whenever the blending time reaches four minutes.
