Here Are The Top 10 Best Peltier Dehumidifiers 2018
Alphachooser's list of the newest Peltier dehumidifiers includes only dehumidifiers that obey to these criteria:
- We included only peltier dehumidifiers, which must operate through a quiet thermoelectric system also known as the peltier effect
- Since their main use is as a wardrobe or bathroom dehumidifier, models shown are also obviously small.
Designed specifically for moldy kitchens, garages, mobile homes, or bathrooms (Be sure to check out the best bathroom dehumidifiers here), the Pro Breeze PB-03-US is a quiet dehumidifier that comes with an averagely-sized 0.4-gallon water tank and a 1.12-pint on-paper daily dehumidifying rate. Owing to its thermo-electric peltier module, most of this 4-star unit's reviewers (We've checked out 903 so far) agree that the PB-03-US is an extremely quiet unit, although one of them cautioned that it is a little noisier than a few other portable dehumidifiers of its kind, most of which are also listed here on AlphaChooser.
Apart from being quiet, this Pro Breeze model also received some positive feedback for its lightweight and compact design, with a certain happy buyer calling it a great little machine. Additionally, one of its users commended its actual moisture-pulling performance, noting that it saved his metal tools from rusting. A couple of other people were delighted to report that, on top of being small and quiet, it did not affect their electricity bills that much (if at all).
On the contrary, a small number of its reviewers (Only 13 percent of its total review count, which is within the acceptable range for quiet dehumidifiers, were 1-star rants as we were writing this) complained about its performance, most of whom say that it struggles to pull moisture out of the air, even when the room is evidently damp -- perhaps a matter of perception and expectations, as thermoelectric dehumidifiers, by definition, perform far less than conventional compressor-based basement models. Some also say that while it is indeed nicely designed, the units they received died just after a couple of weeks -- nice candidates for the warranty, apparently.
With all that said, we turn to our shopping algorithm, which browsed our sources and examined 5447 reviews for silent dehumidifiers, and it concludes that the Pro Breeze PB-03-US is by far Alphachooser's best Peltier dehumidifier 2018/2019 (Learn how we rank items) -- our crawler even says that with a confidence level of 100 (More on confidence levels).

The Gurin DMD210V is a silent dehumidifier that boasted a 5-star review ratio of 63 percent (out of 639 reviews) as of this AlphaChooser write-up. Most of its happy buyers loved the combination of its compact size and pretty straightforward controls. It automatically shuts itself off whenever the water tank is full, and it pulls up to 5 pints of moisture out of the air daily.
Note, though, that its 0.13-gallon water tank is one of the smallest in this category, which means that you might have to empty it more frequently than other thermo-electric models depending on the ambient humidity -- one user says it needs to be emptied 2-3 times day. Many buyers find its small water tank tolerable, though, considering its performance. A particular buyer mentions that it easily solved the mildew problem in their relatively old house and fan-less bathroom, but for bathrooms, you should really check out bigger silent models from our best dehumidifiers for bathroom list . Another user delightfully reported that this small unit eliminates mold buildups and makes the clothes actually feel dry within a large closet.
While most of this 4-star Gurin model's buyers attest to its whisper-quiet operation, however, a few of them were not very impressed, with one saying that this unit is nicely small and quiet, but it does not actually do anything. Another one had the same sentiment, saying that it feels sturdily built, but does not pull any water out of the damp air whatsoever. In contrast, however, many more users consider the DMD210V a great little model that's more than worth the money.
At the end of the day, taking into consideration a grand total of 5447 reviews for quiet dehumidifiers across our sources, our review-crawling algorithm considers the Gurin DMD210V to be one of the top 10 Peltier dehumidifiers available at the moment -- it is Alphachooser's second best Peltier dehumidifier 2018/2019.

Though a relatively humble silent dehumidifier, at least as far as size goes, the Kedsum Small Thermo-Electric gained some positive feedback (62 percent of the 628 reviews we sampled as of this AlphaChooser write-up were 5-star reviews) for its dehumidifying performance. For one, several of its users say that it removes mildew and prevents mold buildups quite well, adding that it takes roughly three days for its 0.14-gallon water tank to fill up, although the rate obviously depends on how humid the area is to begin with.
While this 4-star peltier dehumidifier, which some reviewers say is indeed extremely quiet, is mainly for bathrooms, a good number of buyers found success in using it to dry out closets, living rooms, and even 35-feet RVs. A few users also mentioned that it's very straightforward to operate and that its water reservoir is easy to empty.
Regrettably, a few shoppers were not as enthused, grumbling about it being rather ineffective -- a certain user noted that it does not nearly match its 250ml promised daily dehumidifying rate. A couple of other users complained about units that totally fell apart after a couple of months, with one of them saying that dehumidifiers of its size tend not to be very enduring. A few others, on the other hand, simply said that the units they received just sat there without collecting any moisture whatsoever. With its 1-star review ratio being pinned to a mere 14 percent at the time of writing, though, those critical remarks do little to diminish its aforementioned positive reviews.
All said, the Kedsum Small Thermo-Electric, according to our automated review crawling algorithm, which, by the way, rummaged through a total of 5447 reviews for silent dehumidifiers, is an Alphachooser good choice and, consequently, one of the top 10 small and quiet dehumidifiers on the market today.

The Pure Enrichment PEDEHLRG is a small dehumidifier designed for bathrooms, wall-to-wall or walk-in closets, and small bedrooms, among others. Its Peltier thermo-electric technology is almost synonymous with it being a quiet dehumidifier, with a lot of its 64 reviewers praising it for being extremely quiet, even on the highest fan setting -- some users even say that its operational noise is almost non-existent. Another thing users loved about this 4-star silent dehumidifier is its aesthetics, with some buyers saying that it is one of the best-looking small dehumidifiers out there today -- some of its closest competitors are also listed here on AlphaChooser. One other user mentioned that it is quiet, but just about large enough to actually suck some serious moisture out of the air. By the way, it comes with a mid-sized (in this category) 0.40-gallon water reservoir.
This Pure Enrichment model also received some praise for its ability to filter the air of allergens and prevent mold buildups, which is obviously a very convenient perk for those who suffer from sensitive sinuses. Additionally, its combination of style and performance makes it, according to one particular buyer, a must-have for RV owners and those who spend tons of time in their campers.
Unsurprisingly, the PEDEHLRG does not please everyone, with a few reports of units that pull little to no moisture out of the air whatsoever and several others mentioning units that were dead from the get-go. However, its 15 percent 1-star rating ratio as of this write-up was still within the acceptable range for quiet dehumidifiers, so best take these complaints with a grain of salt.
All said, our shopping algorithm, which surfed through a total of 5447 reviews for dehumidifiers of this kind, concludes that the Pure Enrichment PEDEHLRG is easily one of the top 10 models in this category, winding up as an Alphachooser good choice.

Powilling MD821 Mini Dehumidifier
As expected of a peltier quiet dehumidifier, the Powilling MD821, which, incidentally, is also a contender in AlphaChooser's list of the best bathroom dehumidifiers, is best known for its quiet operation. In fact, many of this 4-star unit's reviewers (We sampled 139) say that its operational buzz is almost non-existent. Another thing that users loved is its sleek and compact design, with a top-mounted electronic control panel serving as its cherry-on-top.
Aside from bathrooms and large wardrobes, some of this portable dehumidifier's buyers use it to dry and filter the air within boats and RVs -- one of the most enthusiastic among them noted that it easily dragged the 80 percent humidity level within their RV down to a mere 31 percent, adding that the MD821's auto-drain option, which is not an everyday facet among small dehumidifiers, is quite convenient as well. A couple of other users said that it successfully rid the air of mildew and musty odors on top of actually drying it, while another one noted that it barely increased the electricity bill.
As usual, for quiet dehumidifiers, the MD821 earned the ire of some shoppers, most of them saying that while it looks good and runs quietly, it does not pull any moisture out of the air whatsoever. Additionally, several critical reviewers suffered units that broke down after a couple of week or a little over a month. Keep in mind, though, that its mere 13 percent 1-star rating ratio at the time of writing is well within the acceptable range for compact dehumidifiers.
So, in the end, our review-crawling algorithm, which rummaged through 5447 reviews for peltier dehumidifiers, concludes that the Powilling MD821 is an Alphachooser interesting choice, making it one of the top 10 quiet dehumidifiers on the market today.

OXA SMART HG0170 Peltier Dehumidifier
No bigger than a box of tissues (as one reviewer puts it), the OXA SMART HG0170 is a quiet dehumidifier that comes with a 0.18-gallon water reservoir (1.5 pints) and a 0.63-pint daily dehumidifying rate. Its size and straightforward functions make it a feasible choice for a small baby room, boats and RVs, or for kitchen cabinets. Some users also have it running under beds or inside large wall-to-wall closets. It has an average rating of 4 stars, with most of its 38 reviewers praising not just its compact size, but also its actual moisture-pulling ability -- a certain user mentions that it is perfect when paired with a central air conditioner or a standard box fan .
Like many other Peltier dehumidifiers listed here at AlphaChooser, the SMART HG0170 comes with an auto-shutoff feature for whenever its water bucket fills up (A red light will warn users that it needs to be emptied) as well as a sleep mode that keeps the noise level below 35dB. Some user anecdotes about its quiet performance include one of them saying that it does not sound louder than a laptop even on the highest setting and another one saying that its noise is hardly noticeable. Several others keep their reviews simple by calling this OXA model silent and compact. Others loved that its tank is very easy to remove an empty.
Sadly, a few of its reviewers (It had a mere 6 percent 1-star review ratio at the time of writing, a rather good performance) were not pleased, reporting unfortunate cases of units that either came dead on arrival or ones that broke within the first few months of use, but even those users agree about its whisper quiet operation.
In the end, with our automated review sampler having examined 5447 reviews for Peltier dehumidifiers, the OXA SMART HG0170 is not doubt one of the top 10 silent dehumidifiers you will find -- it is an Alphachooser interesting choice.

InvisiPure HydroWave Silent Dehumidifier
The InvisiPure HydroWave, which one reviewer (We picked up on 96 reviews as of this AlphaChooser write-up) describes as great-looking and rather sexy, is a portable quiet dehumidifier that comes with the essentials, such as a safety alert for when its 0.53-gallon water tank fills up and a 27-ounce daily dehumidifying rate. Going back to its aesthetics, most of this 3.5-star unit's buyers agree that it is beautifully designed, with a blue operation light complementing its clean white finish. Some buyers also say that it feels well-built.
As for its performance, although it is most often used in bathrooms and damp laundry rooms, a good number of its buyers say that this Peltier quiet dehumidifier is perfect for sailboats and mobile homes, keeping the air inside such vehicles from getting musty, while pulling up to a liter of water out of the air weekly. A few other reviewers wrote that it is efficient and quiet (unsurprising facets of a thermo-electric dehumidifier) and that it works exactly as advertised. Not everyone was happy, however, with some reviewers saying that while it looks great, its performance does not live up to its beauty whatsoever, collecting little to no moisture after running in damp rooms for several days. One particular user also whined that it leaked water all over the floor as soon as the tank filled up, which is probably due to a faulty auto-shutoff feature. At the end of the day, though, the optimistic buyers win, with more than half of its reviewers giving it a 5-star rating as of this write-up.
Turning to our review-crawling algorithm, which sampled a grand total of 5447 reviews from various sources, determines that the InvisiPure HydroWave is an Alphachooser interesting choice. In other words, it belongs to the top 10 quiet dehumidifiers on the market today.

HODGSON T8 Mini Dehumidifier
Pitched as a super-silent, efficient, and stylish dehumidifier, the HODGSON T8 promises to dry out small home spaces of up to 200 square feet, coming with a rather tiny 0.18-gallon water tank and a 0.63-pint daily dehumidifier performance. Some of its critical reviewers say that even though it's nicely designed, it does not seem to be very effective, with a certain buyer mentioning that it takes up to a week for its water bucket to fill up, adding that their area was very damp to begin with. A couple of other unsatisfied users also had the misfortune of receiving units that stopped working after only a couple of weeks. Only 15 percent of the reviews we sampled for this unit were negative ones, though, so it's not that big of a deal -- and the thing with peltier dehumidifiers is that we have to keep in mind that some users may not realize that they can just not expect the same performance from a 0.63-pint/day dehumidifier as they could from a 70-pint/day basement model...
With those negative feedbacks taken care of, a lot of the (rating temporarily unavailable)-star T8's buyers recommend it for those trying to dry out small rooms or wardrobes, a byproduct of which is that it prevents mold buildups and musty odors. Its compact design also apparently makes it less-clunky than several other portable quiet dehumidifiers featured here at AlphaChooser. One particularly enthusiastic buyer reported that this peltier unit easily dragged their salon studio's 65 percent humidity level down to only 47 percent within 24 hours and that it further dragged the humidity down to only 32 percent over th first weekend . Many buyers also found its rather budget-friendly price point (It was pegged at only $40 when we were checking it out) very appreciable.
