Here Are The Top 10 Best Countertop Wine Coolers 2019
This list of the latest countertop wine coolers includes only wine coolers that satisfy these specs:
- Many wine fridges define themselves as countertop models, but we had to draw the line somewhere and we made sure the models shown here are at least no taller than 16 inches (so they can fit nicely under your kitchen cabinets!)
- A capacity of 12 bottles or less is also a criteria, though we may have let go some exceptions if the format was countertop-enough
- And, of course, a mention by the manufacturer that it can be used as a countertop wine cooler always helps, but is definitely not the only factor we look at.
Considering its aggregate rank of 88%, we conclude that the Ivation 8-Bottle is currently Alphachooser's best countertop wine cooler 2019. Alphachooser also concludes that our sample of 46 reviews from our sources gives us a high confidence level (more on confidence levels) that prompts us to name it a "no-brainer best choice."

The Westinghouse WWT080MB countertop wine cooler obviously took its job as a compact unit seriously, if its heavily-shaved-off physical dimensions are to be used as basis. In fact, many of the 77 reviews that our system has aggregated exclaim that this unit is particularly-compact for its 8-bottle capacity. As a consequence, however, one reviewer has pointed out that its shelves do not accommodate 750mL champagne bottles (or wider wine bottles, in that case), so if you like hoarding these said beverages, then you might want to opt for a bigger cooler.
Nonetheless, this mini countertop wine cooler does its duties well. Praises for its ability to cool well and quick have earned it a rating of 4 stars. Many buyers also remarked that it's simple, but feels well-made and of high quality. Furthermore, there were barely any complaints about its noise levels, with several people even claiming that it's a "very quiet" unit, in spite of its 38dB noise rating being just an average value.
The two complaints that we have seen enough times to consider them potential pressing concerns, meanwhile, are that it does not offer a built-in thermometer or temperature display, and that it does not go colder than 46 degrees Fahrenheit. The said temperature is very cold, by all means, but there are consumers who have needs for extra-cold temperatures. For context, the coldest minimum temperature for a wine cooler in our database is at 32 degrees, and the average across all units lies at 41 degrees.
Our review crawler has scanned a whopping 3992 reviews for all the countertop wine coolers in our books, and it has determined that the WWT080MB deserves the spot of an Alphachooser good choice in this list -- unsurprising, given its numerous good qualities that have earned it a good number of fans.

The Igloo FRW1201 freestanding wine cooler is said to hold the promised 12 wine bottles comfortably, according to many of the 213 reviews that our system has surveyed for this product. It's worth noting that according to some buyers, it's actually a bit bigger than the listed official dimensions, which can either be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the intended usage and installation setup. Rated 4 stars, it currently holds the distinction of being an Alphachooser interesting choice in our list of the top 10 countertop wine coolers.
There were also some complaints about it being unable to keep a perfectly-steady temperature, but this is not a rare issue among wine coolers. Also, it may take some time -- a bit longer than the usual wine cooler, that is -- for this unit to achieve a set temperature, but once it does, it apparently does a great job at keeping wines cool.
Additionally, feedback about it being able to operate quietly comes aplenty. Although we have come across a few reviewers who possibly received lemons, as they reported that the FRW1201 got noisier after a few months of use. Several reviewers unfortunately also received units with faulty doors that don't seal as well as they're supposed to.
However, comments about its appearance seem like solid and uncompromising commendations, as this freestanding wine cooler's sleek and sophisticated metal and glass exterior and blue interior lighting have earned the approval of its owners.

The Igloo FRW133 wine fridge has gained a reputation of being able to keep a pretty consistent temperature. Although it has less flexibility about being able to accommodate bottles that veer away from the standard shape and size, it does good on its promise to store and cool 12 wine bottles. On top of this, its operation is also relatively-quiet, much to the delight of the small households that it was originally designed for. The digital display and modern design are definite pros for its buyers, as well.
On the other hand, the Igloo FRW133 apparently only cools wine bottles down to 52 degrees Fahrenheit. This presents a limitation for people who prefer to have their wines chilled to a lower temperature. Also, like its sibling, the Igloo FRW1201, this model also comes a tiny bit larger in dimension (by a fraction of an inch or so) than what's listed on its specs page, according to several reviewers who have experienced minor installation issues because of this. Lastly, some have reported that its digital display sometimes reports temperatures that are off by a few degrees. However, take note that these reports constitute a relatively-small portion of the FRW133's mostly-positive reviews.
Because of these aforementioned glowing reviews, this 4-star small wine fridge has been named as an Alphachooser interesting choice in this top 10 countertop wine coolers list.

The NewAir AW-121E 12-Bottle Wine Fridge has been the subject of praise from many of its 1474 reviews due to its reported ability to cool to the desired temperature quickly and maintain the said temperature in a stable manner. To add to this, many of the people who have bought and eventually reviewed this model have expressed satisfaction over its sleek design, which is enhanced by a blue interior LED. It's also apparently easy to set up out-of-the-box, which has been a good thing for its solo-living consumers.
While many of its reviewers have said that it does not make any real noise, there were also reported incidents of people encountering unbearable noises with this under-counter wine cooler. Perhaps it's a matter of luck and faulty units do exist, but keep in mind that the number of reviews reporting low noise levels are far greater than those who say otherwise.
The NewAir AW-121E did, however, receive some disapproval for its shelf structure, as fatter or taller bottles (which come with some wines and most champagne) tend to be difficult to store in this unit's interiors. This is a complaint that's quite common among smaller wine coolers -- one that is usually remedied by removing a shelf or two, depending on whether that's an option the buyer is willing to take. Lastly, there have also been some feedback saying that the drawers were hard to open when they're fully-occupied.
In the end, the AW-121E has been rated a whopping 3.5 stars from all of its reviews, which merits it the distinction of being an Alphachooser interesting choice in our list of the top 10 under-counter wine coolers.

According to the reviews that our system has automatically collected and scanned, the Wine Enthusiast Silent 2720213W countertop wine cooler is worth (rating temporarily unavailable) stars. We have browsed through a number of these reviews, and found out the features that it is loved -- as well as hated -- for.
For one, many people who have bought this free-standing model have left remarks about its desirability in the noise department, as the 2720213W is apparently almost completely silent. The people who have been impressed by its ability to hold the set temperature very well also contributed much to its respectable rating. In addition, this wine fridge reportedly feels very well-made (at least on the outside). This is a welcome bonus to the attractive-looking exterior that many people have praised it for.
The bulk of its not-so-favorable reviews have a lot to do with its interiors. According to some consumers, the racks in the 2720213W don't glide as gracefully as they expected, which gave them quite a flimsy feel. There have also been complaints about the shelves being too cramped to fit anything that deviates from the standard in terms of size and shape. Many people have resolved this by removing the bottom shelf. Some found this necessity acceptable and continued to still give it a high rating due to its performance in the above-mentioned fields, while others found that this extra step was inconvenient and annoying. Some of the feedback we have encountered have also said that it takes longer for this wine cooler to reach the desired temperature (at least, compared to what they were used to from their previous wine coolers), but once it does reach the set temp, it stays there -- like what we have reported above.
